The 2009 newly completed, spaciously laid out, Via Claudia Motorhome site with 52 lots, supply and waste disposal facilities, as well as it´s own toilet facilities, are open year-round, barrier-free, for our guests, even for Winter camping.
The Areal borders on the Via Claudia Camping Site and lies directly on the historical Holy Roman road Via Claudia Augusta above the emerald green Lech Lake.
Around the site grounds there is an extensive network of bicyclist and wander paths along numerous lakes and up to waterfalls and cultural treasures. With wonderful sounding names like König-Ludwig-Weg and Prälaten-Weg excursions, either by foot or as a cyclists, lead directly to top quality landmarks.
The Fairy-Tale Castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, as well as the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wieskirche remind us of the glory and splendour of days gone by.
The Rafting Village: Lechbruck am See
In former times, the rafters lived a down-to-earth life filled with hard physical labor; their everyday lives are impressively portrayed in the local Rafter´s Museum. One almost feels like a real rafter when taking part in one of the historic rafting tours offered weekly on the Lech Lake.
Culinary delights
Back to the present, when the camper gets hungry there are typical rural Inns in or around Lechbruck am See which offer local dishes and typical homemade Allgaeuer Emmentaler or farmer´s cheese, which can be enjoyed immediately or taken along on your way home.
You are welcome to use the large assortment of amenities available at the adjacent Via Claudia Camping Site.
